Minyetta Nelson was born & raised on Detroit's Eastside. In elementary school she discovered her talent of writing & submitted her writings as well as poems into many contest. Winning first place as well as runner up in most. Minyetta became was a published poet by the time she entered middle school where she would continue to explore her creativity. She attended Osborn High School where she wrote for her high school paper & was published in the Detroit Free Press.

 

During a networking event Minyetta was introduced to the owner of a locally based & owned Detroit clothing line called Ink Jeans where she would later come aboard as an Intern. From Intern to Sales Rep. From Sales Rep to Manager of Promotions & Marketing. Holding that position for three years. In the meantime, Minyetta continued to venture off to explore her many talents & creativity on all levels.

 

Minyetta has been in promotions for 14 yrs which started during high school. She has been doing marketing & advertising for 10 yrs. Now she's exploring the aspect of blogging at the same time of introducing her first novel as well as her second calendar to the world along with all the other many things she is doing.
